What's your favorite oddly-paired yet somehow strangely compatible song pairing? Obv no Estimated>Eyes or Scarlet>Fire, or any of the other good ole reliables. I guess if something about one of the more traditional segues is somehow odd to you within the context of a given show it would qualify.

I'm very curious and am anticipating your responses. Thanks in advance and list away!!!

I would say that Estimated>Uncle John's Band are polar opposites that worked real well, especially on 3-9-81. Estimated has the wierd time signature, with a minor chording structure. Uncle John's then comes in with the major chord structure. It's very interesting to hear the band go through the necessary changes to make the seque as seamless as possible. Headphones highly recommended for this show. This show belongs in the top 10 for all time.

Comes A Time>Franklin's Tower in between The Other One and Sugar Magnolia in the setlist of the show tigerbolt just uploaded at btree seems very unusual, but I know that's not really the kind of thing you're looking for.

I always liked Cumberland Blues or Maggie's Farm coming out of one of Weir's C&W-ish songs in the first set. At least I think Maggie was played in that slot sometimes.

I wish they kept Bertha>Good Lovin either to open the first set or close the second

8-1-82 Playing > Aiko > Lost Sailor/St is a twofer odd couple ( Odd Menage A Trois?) pairing for me.

Also the 9-2-85 Stagger Lee > Aiko at the same venue does it for me as well.
